Install the extension.

The Chrome Web Store release is pending. You can use the current release by loading it as an unpacked extension.

Load the release in Chrome

1. Download the ZIP and extract it into a permanent folder.
2. Open chrome://extensions in the Chrome profile where you use YouTube.
3. Turn on Developer mode.
4. Choose Load unpacked and select the extracted folder containing manifest.json.
5. Reload any YouTube pages that were already open.

The folder must stay on your computer while the extension is installed. Moving or deleting it can stop Chrome from loading the extension.

Before your first click

Sign in to YouTube and make sure watch history is enabled. The extension uses the account that is active on the current YouTube page.

Install from the repository

If you work with the source, select apps/extension/src as the unpacked extension folder instead of extracting the ZIP.

Update or uninstall

For an update, replace the extracted files with a new release, click the extension's reload button in chrome://extensions, and reload YouTube.

To uninstall, choose Remove in Chrome's extension manager. Removing the extension does not delete the history already saved by YouTube.
